The problem was not having a light portable computer to take with you everywhere i.e. a lap top or the Air. The problem was having it seem like your not working on a computer when dealing with clients and of course avoiding all the problems usually associated with Windows products.
Unfortunately the ipad is based on the same OS as the iphone. That means that there is no ability for an adobe flash player. That means no streaming net flix or hulu. And even worse I can't use my EMR (electronic medical record).
I use Practice Fusion because it does everything an EMR should do, but it requires the adobe flash player. It's great because everything syncs and is stored off site and allows for secure messaging among office staff.
It would also have been great if Apple didn't do another exclusive with At&T. This thing basicly looks like a big Ipod-itouch.
The iPad 2nd generation will hopefully fix this problem.
Metro Medical Direct is a web-based primary care medical house call and urgent care service in Manhattan that functions as truly a paperless practice.
Metro Medical Direct takes the hassles out of going to the doctor. I just wish apple would take the hassles out of portable electronic charting.
